The Boston College Eagles flew into Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heel Nine over the weekend. Bad weather on Friday forced a doubleheader to be played on Saturday. All that did was set up a remarkable weekend of baseball.
The Tar Heels started slow in Game 1. The Eagles were able to race out to a 4-1 lead after two innings. Three of the runs were earned, as the defense couldn’t help starter Tyler Baum get out of the second. The Tar Heels answered in the third thanks to back-to-back homers by Dylan Enwiller and Michael Busch, and eventually took a two-run lead after six.
