The No. 11 North Carolina Tar Heels scored two runs in the first inning, and seven runs in the third en route to an 11-5 victory over the Liberty Flames at Boshamer Stadium on Tuesday night.
North Carolina freshman short stop Danny Serretti hit a two-run double in the first to get the Tar Heels on the scoreboard. Junior infielder Ashton McGee kept things going in the third inning with a grand slam, his third home run of the season and the Tar Heels second grand slam in 10 days. McGee put together his fifth multi-hit game in his last six outings, and totaled four RBIs in all.
