A couple weeks ago, we let you know where a lot of the Diamond Heels were going to be spending the summer. Thanks to the reorganization of the minor leagues, there are a lot more opportunities for college players to hone their skills with wood bats between school years.
After a year of inactivity and no baseball, this summer opportunity has to be welcome for anyone getting a chance to play.
While most leagues had already gotten underway, the Grandaddy of them All, the Cape Cod League, started play a little over a week ago, and now all 23 Diamond Heels selected for a summer league can get ready for the 2022 season and try to enhance their prospects for any MLB scouts watching.
