Midweek college baseball games aren’t always the most interesting. Teams typically set up their rotations and lineups to focus on the weekend series they play, sometimes just figuring out things as they go along.
This week, however, the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team’s midweek game was anything but uninteresting. In a game featuring 22 runs, three different 4+ run innings, and a couple lead changes, the Diamond Heels came away with a win on the road over the Elon Phoenix, but it was quite the journey.
The game didn’t start out all that unusually.
