It’s early in conference play, but the college baseball regular season is already half over, and the national picture is beginning to take shape. Reigning national champs Tennessee are still on top of the world, preseason favorites Virginia, Texas A&M, and Florida are struggling pretty mightily, and, closer to home, UNC has been... pretty good! They’re just 6-6 in their four conference series, but they’ve been looking in better form of late and have a pretty stellar nonconference record. We’ll have a better grasp on how this team is doing after this weekend’s series hosting a Duke team that’s had a similarly worse-than-expectations-but-still-pretty-good start to conference play, but that preview is over here.
