A former University of North Carolina Tar Heels standout on the diamond is headed to the Triple-A All-Star Game.
Fresno Grizzlies infielder Colin Moran was one of two players on the team to be named to the Triple-A All-Star Game on Thursday. Moran joins teammate Derek Fisher on the 30-man roster.
The two will be managed by Grizzlies manager Tony DeFrancesco on the Pacific Coast League roster.
The game will be played on July 12 at Cheney Stadium, home of the Tacoma Rainers and will be broadcasted live on MLB Network and MiLB.TV.
The 24-year-old Moran has hit a career-high 17 home runs in 63 games and is hitting .
