Some big changes are coming to sporting events on the campus of the University of North Carolina this year.
On Wednesday, Gov. Roy Cooper signed a bill into law that allows public universities to sell legal beer and wine during sporting events on campus for the first time ever. That means when you attend UNC Football games, basketball games and baseball games, you will be able to buy beer and wine.
The law comes into play just a few months before the college football season starts and the Tar Heels host gams at Kenan Memorial Stadium.
UNC Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham says the school is in favor of selling alcohol during games so you won’t have to worry about being left out.
