When this game was scheduled by the ACC, there is little doubt that they expected it to mean just a little bit more. We’re just a couple weeks from where all eyes were on this slot for football, and traditionally Carolina and Duke are loaded up for this “Big Monday” slot to try and keep eyes on ESPN. Florida State, meanwhile, has always been a fighter under Leonard Hamilton and even while they weren’t great last season, most expected a recovery.
It really hasn’t worked out that way. Florida State has once again failed to fully meet expectations, and it’s led to Hamilton actually leaving Florida State after this season.
