Former North Carolina basketball standout Theo Pinson had a night to remember on Friday, doing something that neither he, nor any other Long Island Nets player had ever done.
Against the Wisconsin Herd at the Menominee Nation Arena, Pinson posted the first triple-double in Long Island franchise history, leading the Nets to a 126-120 victory and etching his name into the record books in the process.
Pinson posted 27 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds in a game-high 43 minutes of play. He connected on just 11-of-24 shots from the floor and 3-of-10 from beyond the arc, but played aggressively enough to make up for his shooting woes.
