William Register shot a 1-under-par 71 and finished tied for fourth and the University of North Carolina men’s golf team finished fifth ahead of two top-10 teams at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational played at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club.
Florida won the team event at 20-under-par, 11 strokes ahead of Vanderbilt. The Tar Heels shot 8-over 296 on Tuesday and finished at 6-over 870 for the tournament.
Register had Carolina’s low round on Tuesday and was the only Tar Heel under par over the final 18 holes. Austin Hitt and Zach Martin both shot 77 and tied for 23rd.
