Pretty is not a word that can be used to describe Carolina’s 41-14 win over the Delaware Blue Hens on Saturday afternoon. For one, the weather was rainy and ugly for the second time this season. The skies stayed gray and the rain fell just enough to force fans to keep their ponchos on for the entire afternoon.
The football wasn’t pretty either. There were fumbles and bad tackles and inaccurate throws by both sides all afternoon long. Bad tackling was on display right from the start from the Tar Heel defense, as Delaware running back Thomas Jefferson ran 71 yards for a score on his team’s second play from scrimmage.
