Turner's Take: This Is What You Work For

CHESTER, PA. - Less than a minute remained Friday afternoon at Talen Energy Stadium. The NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Tournament semifinal had been a game of runs. North Carolina scored the first three goals. Penn State, the next five. Carolina, the next three. A four-goal Tar Heel run gave the Tar Heels a 12-7 lead with fewer than 15 minutes to play, but the Nittany Lions answered again, with three straight free-position scores and an unassisted goal by Madison Carter.

Clinging to a one-goal lead, the Tar Heels went into their stall game. It's not something the Tar Heels love, as they are a fast-paced offense that can score quickly.
