When Tim Scott committed to play football at UNC the Tar Heels were employing a traditional 4–3 defense. But in Scott’s sophomore year, the Tar Heels switched to a 4–2–5 setup. The results were unsightly and cost defensive coordinator Vic Koenning his job. Scott is hoping the historically bad unit he was a part of last season doesn’t prevent him from getting a shot in the NFL. (Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star)
