UNC went into the Spectrum Center last night with a pretty good opportunity to finally come away with their second Quad 1 win of the season against an injured Duke team. It goes without saying that a number one team in the country is still one of the better teams in the country, even when they are missing their star player, but truly this was a golden opportunity for the Tar Heels. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to capitalized despite executing one of the crazier comebacks in the second half I’ve seen in a while from them. In the final seconds of the game, Duke committed a foul on Ven-Allen Lubin, who missed his first free throw that would’ve tied the game.
