CHAPEL HILL – Behind three home runs, No. 18 North Carolina (9-4, 5-3) edged Clemson (5-7, 1-4) 5-4 on Saturday afternoon to clinch the weekend series after taking game one Frieday evening.
The Tar Heels showed fortitude to come from behind in game two after finding themselves down 1-0 after two innings of play. It marked the second-straight comeback win for North Carolina.
UNC showed off its power in the fourth inning by blasting three home runs, a feat that had not been accomplished since June 1, 2019 against Liberty.
