CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Despite dropping the doubles point, the UNC women's tennis team (32-1), defeated the No. 16 Florida Gators (18-8) 4-1 on Friday afternoon in the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament at the Chewning Tennis Center.
Today's victory over Florida set a new single-season home win record with 18 home wins during the 2023 outdoor campaign.
After falling 3-6 on doubles court two, Reese Brantmeier and Reilly Tran won 6-3 on court three to force a doubles point decision on court one. After a back-and-forth battle, Fiona Crawley and Abbey Forbes fell 6-7.
