CHAPEL HILL—Top-seeded North Carolina (31-6) will face sixth-seeded Notre Dame (24-11) in the NCAA Tournament East Regional final on Sunday night in Philadelphia. The Tar Heels and Fighting Irish will take the opening tip at 8:49 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center.
The Tar Heels are making their 26th appearance an NCAA Tournament regional final and their seventh in 12 years under Roy Williams.
UNC beat No. 5 seed Indiana, 101-86, on Friday night to advance to Sunday's game. Notre Dame beat Wisconsin, 61-56, on Friday in Philadelphia.
