CHAPEL HILL—Third-seeded North Carolina (17-2) will try to secure its sixth trip to the NCAA Tournament semifinals in the last eight years when it hosts sixth-seeded Notre Dame (14-6) on Saturday in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels and Fighting Irish will take the opening draw at 1:01 p.m. at Fetzer Field. The game will be streamed live by ESPN3.
The winner of Saturday's game will advance to next Friday's semifinals in Chester, Pa., against either seventh-seeded Penn or unseeded Penn State.
Last month, Carolina beat Notre Dame, 14-8, in Chapel Hill.
