CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina women’s soccer team has received a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament field and will play host to Big South Conference champion Liberty University in the championship’s first round this Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Fetzer Field.
Coach Anson Dorrance’s Tar Heels are in the tournament for the 34th successive year. Carolina is the only school in the country to have made the field in every year of the tournament’s existence. The Tar Heels are 14-4-1 this season and they earned an at-large berth in the tournament.
