THE MATCHUP

♦ Top-seeded North Carolina (26-6) will try to advance to the ACC Tournament championship game for the fifth time in six years when it faces fourth-seeded Notre Dame (21-10) on Friday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals of the 2016 ACC Tournament in Washington, D.C.

♦ Friday's game will be a rematch of last year's ACC Tournament final, a 90-82 Notre Dame win in Greensboro.
