Sophomore Dougie Ergood and freshman Austin Greaser are 1 over par after 36 holes and the University of North Carolina is in third place at even par after the opening two rounds of the Sea Best Invitational, played Monday at TPC Sawgrass at the Dye's Valley Course.
It is the Tar Heels' first event of the spring schedule.
Carolina is seven shots behind Texas A&M and trails Florida by six strokes. UNC shot 2-under-par 278 in the morning round and 2 over in the afternoon.
Ergood and Greaser both shot 70s to start and followed up with 71s in the afternoon.
