WASHINGTON, D.C. – The North Carolina rowing team won three of four races Saturday morning against Georgetown in racing on the Potomac River. The Tar Heels came out on top in the second varsity eight, varsity four and second varsity four while the Hoyas won the varsity eight.
“Today was another great racing day for Carolina rowing,” UNC head coach Sarah Haney said. “I was really proud of how the team handled travel this weekend with exams starting on Monday.”
The Tar Heels fielded seven boats, thus providing plenty of rowers and coxswains the opportunity to gain racing experience.
