ANNAPOLIS, MD.—The University of North Carolina basketball team made the most of its day in Annapolis on Thursday. In town to prepare for Friday's 2016-17 season opener against Temple in the Veterans Classic hosted by the United States Naval Academy, Thursday was anything but a typical road trip practice day.
Carolina players toured the Naval Academy, learning about the history of the Navy and Marine Corps while also meeting military personnel and getting a taste of life at the service academy.
In the morning, head coach Roy Williams and Tar Heel captains Joel James, Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige observed the morning colors at Tecumseh Court.
