Coral Gables, Fla. – North Carolina scored four runs in the top of the 12th inning to secure the 8-4 over Miami on Friday night to move to 20-10 on the season. Nine different players recorded hits on the evening while seven different Tar Heels scored as Josh Hiatt picked up his first win of the season after throwing four innings of relief work, striking out six Hurricanes and not allowing an earned run.
Josh Ladowski was the spark plug off the bench the Tar Heels needed as he went 2 for 3 at the plate with two RBI and one run scored, all in extra innings.
