CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Spectacular second half goals by and powered the third-ranked University of North Carolina women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over fifth-ranked Florida State before a crowd of 3,021 fans at Dorrance Field Thursday night.
With the victory over the Seminoles, the Tar Heels improved to 14-1-1 overall and 7-0-1 in the ACC. The defending national champion Seminoles are now 12-4 on the season and 6-2 in the ACC. With two games remaining in the regular season, Carolina now holds a solid lead in the league standings with 22 points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie).
