CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina men’s tennis team won its Atlantic Coast Conference home opener Friday, beating visiting Louisville 7-0 on a warm and sunny afternoon at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The second-ranked Tar Heels improved to 17-1 overall and 2-1 in ACC play with the win, while the Cardinals fell to 9-10 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
“I liked the way we came out in doubles at one and two, really good energy,” UNC coach Sam Paul said. “That set the tone for the whole day. I liked the way we played, up and down the lineup.
