Bowl games are great for football teams for many reasons. One, the players get an extra game and some nice bowl swag. Two, the coaching staff gets extra practices to develop and evaluate young talent. Three, the last road game over Winter Break allows the players and teams to go to a new location and compete on national television.
Bowl games also give teams opportunities to give back to the local communities where the games are being held, and the Tar Heels did just that on Saturday morning.
Members of the Tar Heel football team visited the Give Kids the World Village, located in Central Florida.
