WINDERMERE, FLA. --- High winds prevailed in the second round of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational Monday as none of the 15 men’s golf teams played under par and only three teams bettered their overall score from Sunday’s opening round.
The University of North Carolina followed its opening round 287 with a 301 on Monday and stands in sixth place, 19 shots behind the University of California, which has led the team event after each of the first two rounds.
“The wind made the golf course much tougher today and it showed in all of the teams’ scores,” says UNC head coach Andrew Sapp.
