CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The UNC women's basketball team completed nonconference play undefeated with an 81-75 win Sunday afternoon against Charlotte at Carmichael Arena. The Tar Heels outscored their guests 8-3 over the final 1:53 of play to pull out the victory and improve to 5-0 on the season.
Stephanie Watts made five of six free throws and Ariel Young hit a three from the corner to account for the Tar Heels' scoring down the stretch. Watts, a graduate student guard whose experience was key for Carolina, led the way with 17 points in the game.
