STILLWATER, Okla. – North Carolina placed 14th at the 2020 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship on Monday, the program's best team finish since 2010, and senior Paige Hofstad earned All-America honors by finishing 29th.
Competing at the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course, the Tar Heel women were in the field for just the second time since their 14th-place finish in 2010. They were 22nd in 2014 in the program's most recent appearance.
Hofstad's 29th-place finish in 20:46.5 was the best for a UNC runner since Annie LeHardy placed 25th in 2013.
