CHAPEL HILL—Coby White had 14 second-half points as third-ranked North Carolina outlasted fifth-ranked Duke, 79-70, on Saturday night in the Smith Center.
The Tar Heels went on an 11-0 run to take a 75-60 lead and held on despite a late Duke rally that saw UNC miss 12 of its last 13 shots.
With the win, Carolina improved to 26-5 this season overall, 16-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Duke fell to 26-5, 14-4.
The Tar Heels claimed a share of the ACC regular season title with Virginia, which beat Louisville earlier on Saturday.
