CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Carolina out-blocked Boston College on Sunday afternoon, but the Eagles withstood the test to earn the three-set win at the Power Gym in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
Carolina's best chance came in the first set as the Tar Heels hit .342 in the frame, but unfortunately, they were unable to close out for the win, falling 25-27. UNC (5-14, 1-9 ACC) continued to battle throughout the match, stuffing Boston College six blocks to five, but the Eagles (13-9, 3-7 ACC) hit .356 in the contest for the sweep.
Skylar Wine led UNC's attack with 11 kills while both Ava Bell and Destiny Cox posted eight each.
