The UNC rowing team wrapped up two days of racing at the Knecht Cup on Sunday with solid results and an optimistic outlook heading into a training phase. The Tar Heels now have just over a month before they compete next at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships on May 13-14.
The Knecht Cup, which included 70 schools, took place on Mercer Lake in West Windsor Township, N.J. On Saturday, racing was halted in mid-afternoon by a chilly rain, and it resumed on Sunday morning.
The Tar Heels’ six boats all had successful days:
