In the days following the NFL Draft, many Tar Heels have signed free agent deals with teams even after going undrafted. For those who don’t get a deal straight out of college, many others are invited to camp. This is what happened to North Carolina kicker Nick Weiler, who was invited to mini camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The placekicker from Virginia finished four years at Chapel Hill with his fair share of memorable moments. Weiler will always be remembered for his game-winning 54-yard field goal against Florida State on October 1.
