The UNC field hockey (2-0) team kicks off a second weekend on the road Friday with a game at Princeton. The matchup is set for 4 p.m. at Bedford Field.
Carolina was ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll while Princeton was No. 15. The teams last met in the 2012 national championship game, which the Tigers won 3-2 in a penalty shootout following two overtime periods.
After the game, the Tar Heels will head for Philadelphia, where they’ll practice on Saturday before meeting Drexel Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Tar Heels opened the season last weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich.
