CHAPEL HILL—Six-time defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion North Carolina (18-0) has earned the No. 1 seed in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced on Sunday night.
Carolina, an automatic qualifier as the ACC champion, will host NCAA games on Friday May 13 and Sunday May 15 at Dorrance Field.
Saint Joseph's (14-6) and Rutgers (15-4) will meet in the first round on Friday in Chapel Hill. The winner will advance to play UNC in the second round on Sunday. Both games will be streamed by ESPN+.
Tar Heels enter the NCAA Tournament with an 18-0 record, including an 8-0 ACC mark.
