RALEIGH, N.C. - North Carolina finished fourth at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League championships on Saturday afternoon at Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of NC State University.
Carolina scored a 194.525 to place fourth behind George Washington (196.275), New Hampshire (195.075) and NC State (194.875). The Tar Heels edged Pittsburgh (194.100) and Towson (193.225).
Following the meet, junior Morgan Lane was named the EAGL Gymnast of the Year, freshman Khazia Hislop earned Freshman of the Year honors and Amy Smith was named Assistant Coach of the Year.
Carolina's first rotation came on the uneven bars, an event that has proved problematic for the Tar Heels over the last three weeks.
