LINCOLN, NEB. – Tar Heel wrestler Kizhan Clarke picked up a huge ranked win Wednesday night, defeating No. 5 Chad Red Jr. in North Carolina's 27-6 loss to No. 10 Nebraska inside the Devaney Center.
No. 12 Clarke scored a takedown against Red Jr. to claim a 3-1 sudden victory decision and knock off his first ranked opponent this season.
No. 10 Jaime Hernandez picked up the victory tonight. Hernandez stayed perfect in dual contests with a 10-6 decision over Nebraska's No. 33 Alex Thomsen. Hernandez racked up three takedowns, one reversal, and one escape in the bout and picked up a point for riding time.
