CLEMSON, S.C.— Clemson hit 15 three-pointers and held off a furious, second-half North Carolina comeback, defeating the Tar Heels by a 82-78 score at Littlejohn Coliseum on Tuesday night.
Cameron Johnson posted his first career 30-point game with a career-high 32 for the Tar Heels, and Joel Berry II added 27 points. No other Tar Heel reached double figures.
With the win, Clemson improved to 18-4 overall this season and 7-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tigers are 12-0 at home in 2017-18. The Tar Heels dropped their third consecutive decision and are 16-7, 5-5.
