CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 10 North Carolina edged conference rival NC State 4-2 in men’s tennis action Sunday afternoon at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center to earn a spot in the upcoming National Team Indoors, set for Feb. 12-15 in Charlottesville, Va.
“It’s good to advance,” UNC coach Sam Paul said. “NC State played really hard. We’ve got some work to do – we’ve just got to keep getting better every single day. Now we get that opportunity at National Team Indoors.”
As has been the case in every match this spring, the Tar Heels (4-0) claimed the doubles point against the Wolfpack.
