CHAPEL HILL—Atlantic Coast Conference champion North Carolina (15-3) has earned the No. 2 seed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced on Sunday night with the release of its 27-team field.
Carolina, an automatic qualifier as the ACC champion, will host NCAA games on Friday May 11 and Sunday May 13 at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh.
The Tar Heels' longtime home stadium, Fetzer Field, is under renovation this year and will reopen in 2019. Carolina played its 2018 home games at Kenan Stadium, home of the UNC football team, but that facility is not available next weekend due to commencement exercises.
