CHAPEL HILL—Justin Jackson scored 20 points to lead 10th-ranked North Carolina to a 65-41 win over 14th-ranked Virginia on Saturday night in the Smith Center. Jackson scored 18 first-points and hit 4 of 8 three-point tries in the game.
The win improved Carolina to 23-5 this season, 11-3 for first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Virginia lost its third outing this week and fell to 18-8, 8-6.
Carolina jumped ahead early and never looked back, holding the Cavaliers to 33.3 percent shooting (8 for 24), including 0 for 8 from three-point range in the opening half.
