PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS—Sixth-ranked North Carolina dominated the rebounding numbers and rode a season-high 20 points from Garrison Brooks to defeat Alabama, 76-67, in the Imperial Arena at the Battle 4 Atlantis on Wednesday afternoon.
Carolina out-rebounded the Crimson Tide by a 60-31 margin in the game, including 33-17 in the first half.
Brooks hit 7 of 13 shots and grabbed seven rebounds on the day, hitting 6 of 8 free throw tries.
Armando Bacot posted his third consecutive double-double with 12 points and a season-high 15 rebounds for Carolina, while Cole Anthony added 13 points despite shooting 4 for 13 from the floor.
