CHAPEL HILL – Although Syracuse jumped on the board first, North Carolina came from behind for the 4-2 win on Sunday afternoon to wrap up the weekend at Anderson Stadium.
The Orange posted two runs in the second, but lights-out pitching that featured 10 strikeouts by Brittany Pickett and timely hits in the fourth and fifth innings propelled UNC to the 2-1 series win. Skyler Brooks logged a pair of hits while Kiersten Licea tallied two RBI that tied up the game in the fourth.
