CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - At the last-ever track and field meet at Belk Track/Fetzer Field, North Carolina opened up its outdoor season with several strong performances. Next season, Carolina will move into a brand new facility off Finley Golf Course Road.
"As a first meet of the season, I think we've seen a lot of positive things," said head coach Harlis Meaders. "The 400-meter hurdlers did well as did the long 400's. For everyone, it's really justa chance to get started and we'll see improvement throughout the year. I'm excited about not only this season, but the future of Carolina track and field.
