Tar Heels Claim 21st Top-10 Directors' Cup Finish

CHAPEL HILL – A national championship in field hockey, an NCAA runner-up finish in women's soccer and a trio of third-place ties led the University of North Carolina to 10th place in the final 2018-19 Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings.

It's the 21st time in 26 years of the Directors' Cup the Tar Heels have finished in the top 10. Carolina amassed 987 points, 0.17 points ahead of LSU and one point ahead of Ohio State.

Stanford won the title for the 25th straight year (UNC won the inaugural Cup in 1994) with 1567.
