ALBANY, N.Y. – On the heels of the season’s first loss, the second-ranked North Carolina field hockey team bounced back Sunday for a 4-2 win at No. 7 Albany. The Tar Heels are now 5-1 heading into their home opener Friday. The Great Danes fell to 3-1.
Playing at Alumni Turf, senior Emily Wold scored twice and assisted on the other two goals, which were scored by senior Nina Notman and freshman Eva van’t Hoog.
Wold’s first goal came just 3:30 into the match, off a rebound after the first shot on a penalty corner was saved.
