In what was supposed to be a homecoming game for senior guard Marcus Paige, instead has turned into a trip to Iowa in Winter Storm Bella.
The Tar Heels (3-1) will continue their non-conference schedule with a trip to Cedar Falls to take on the Northern Iowa Panthers. The game was scheduled way back in May with the thoughts of seeing locals in Iowa watch their once High School star guard play in the state one final time. Paige broke his hand in practice a few weeks ago and will miss the game against the Panthers.
As the Tar Heels prepare for the Panthers (1-1), a major winter storm is barring down on the Midwest and have dumped 12-plus inches already.
