After defeating North Carolina State in their only game this week, the North Carolina Tar Heels jumped three spots to No. 2 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
The Tar Heels (16-2) jump can be thanked in large part to a wild week in college basketball that saw Kansas, Michigan State and Maryland all losing last week. The Oklahoma Sooners move up to No. 1 in the poll following a 2-0 week that included a win over ranked West Virginia.
Oklahoma received all 65 first place votes in the AP poll but only 24 in the coaches poll.
