RALEIGH, N.C. - The North Carolina rowing first and second varsity four boats advanced to the Grand Finals, on day one of the 2023 ACC Rowing Championships, held at Lake Wheeler.
The first varsity four boat finished third in their respective heat, with a mark of 7:39.65 to advance to the grand finals Saturday morning. In the second varsity four, the Tar Heels crossed at a time of 7:43.86 to advance to the championship race.
All three of the North Carolina varsity eight crews moved on to Saturday morning's petite finals. The third varsity eight squad posted a fourth-place finish in their preliminary heat, with a time of 7:12.
